Who We Are

RADIUS Trust (Formerly Grafham Grange Special Educational Trust (GGSET)) was founded in 1994 and is a charity operating three non-maintained residential special schools in Surrey and West Sussex.

RADIUS currently employs 193 staff comprising of the following teams in each school and the Trust office:

Brantridge School: 48 members of staff with a team of 20 Education, 16 Care and 14 Support staff

Grafham Grange School: 35 members of staff with a team of 18 Education, 13 Care and 17 Support staff

St Dominic’s School: 98 members of staff with a team of 52 Education, 13 Care and 33 Support staff

Charity Office: 12 members of staff

These schools provide high quality education and care for vulnerable young boys with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH) and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). St Dominic’s School specialises in providing high quality education and care for boys and girls with Autism and/or Specific Learning Difficulties including Speech & Language Disorders.

All pupils have a statement of special educational needs which forms the basis of their home Local Authority’s decision to place them in one of the Trust’s schools. The majority have specific additional needs too, such as those associated with autism. A large majority of the students have a White British heritage. A small number are in the care of the state and formally looked after children. There is a particularly strong and highly valued Post 16 offering at St Dominic’s School.

Trust Governance

The Trust Board is currently made up of six Trustees.

The Trust management is headed by a Chief Executive supported by a Trust Executive Team, which works closely with the Headteachers/Principal of the schools.
