What We Do
The Trust is enthusiastic for its schools to be excellent in consistently supporting the best outcomes for children and young people on the roll of each school.
We are keen to implement the likely new statutory age range 0 - 25 Education, Health and Care Plan requirements of the impending Children and Families Act, replacing current SEN statements and to work more closely with families. We are ambitious to assist and develop more effective inter-agency working for the benefit of the children and young people registered with each school.
The Trust is financially healthy with a substantial asset freehold and lease arrangements. All three schools occupy buildings of unique architectural and historic heritage.
Each school operates to government endorsed National Minimum Standards and within a regulatory framework for "non-maintained special schools"
Features of each school are the small teaching groups and the skilled mix of teaching, social care, therapy and para-professionals together with a caring and attuned support staff complementing the focus on child/young person development and resilience. The residential facilities and rural settings contribute to the pupils well-being, and help engender an atmosphere of optimism. There is a strong emphasis on good working and supportive relationships with parents.
